Ripping
Yarns
To all of
you out there that have a drop of salt water in your veins, it is not a
dream; it is usually hereditary, maybe from an ancestor long since gone. You may have a heart felt love all things nautical, and for those of you
who are fortunate enough to have followed your calling at some stage and
have become part of the sea, I share these personal reflections in a
common recognition.
I
hope you will all find something that you like in my ‘Yarns’ They are
a peep over my shoulder at some of life’s voyages together with a some
interesting flotsam and jetsam that I have picked up along the way!
‘It
seems little wonder that I became hooked on boats and big water and the
romance of it all, I have never ceased wondering at the miracle of water,
the weight of it, the many states of it, the ferocity wind brings to it,
the fact of it being an almost universal solvent and part of nearly
everything on earth.’
